Villa Miko is a Secessionist building dating back to the 1920’s, situated in a tranquil position at only 100 m distance from the main square in Sinj. Accommodated in this gorgeous villa, you’ll have the possibility to discover the advantages of Dalmatian hinterland – valuable historical heritage, diversity of unspoiled landscapes, sport possibilities (cycling, rock climbing, hiking, walking, rafting, canoeing, kayaking, rowing, horseback riding), food delicacies (prosciutto, cheese, wine…). The town centre is only 50 m away from the villa and there you’ll find the nearest grocery store. Other facilities can also be found nearby – pharmacy and exchange office at 150 m, bus stop at 350 m, clinic at 450 m, petrol station at 500 m distance from the property.
The villa is placed on a private property of 4000 m2. The spacious park is walled and the entrance to the house is on the north side, through a gateway fitted with original iron gates. Villa Miko is a protected cultural monument and a memorial to the Croatian politician Ante Miko Tripalo (leader of the “Croatian Spring” movement) and his bust stands at the entrance. The restoration of the villa began in 2007 in accordance to conservation and restoration researches, preserving the villa’s original appearance. The villa has been furnished with period pieces and top quality Baroque and Empire style furniture, finished with carefully chosen textiles and upon your entrance to the villa, you’ll notice many works of art by eminent Croatian painters and sculptors, which add a special value to the house.
Villa Miko is a two-storey house (350 m2) which consists of a basement and first floor, each covering a surface of 175 m2. There are three bedrooms in the house, each with its own dressing room and bathroom. The living area occupies the most favorable southwest section of the house and there is also a fully equipped kitchen and study room. In the house is also a sauna, gym, massage and billiard room and a wine cellar, which occupies what used to be a secret room in the cellar. The original self-standing building in the garden (46 m2), which was formerly used to store garden tools, has been transformed into a comfortable guest house (small kitchen and dining table, big bedroom and bathroom, pull out sofa which can be used as extra bed for 2 persons).
